An original Velociraptor egg from Steve Spielberg’s 1993 film Jurassic Park. In Steven Spielberg's massive blockbuster, paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA. While the park's mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt. Tis egg was featured inn the incubation room scene where the guest are given a tour behind the scenes of the park and witness the hatching of a baby Velociraptor. This piece is made of resin and fiberglass and features the likeness of a large egg with a highly textured shell. The piece is painted in hues of grey and blue and was created by the world famous Stan Winston studies. The lot exhibits minor knicks from production use and remains in overall excellent condition. This lot is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auction.
