Original concept art for the theatrical release poster from the 1987 science fiction film Predator. The story revolves around a group of elite special forces soldiers who are on a mission to rescue hostages in a Central American jungle. However, they soon find themselves being hunted by an extraterrestrial creature known as the Predator.
This piece is drawn on crescent illustration board using various poster paints and ink. The artwork is signed on the back by Rod Dyer. The artists noted that he based the artwork off a photograph taken of Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Mexican jungle near Puerto Vallarta. Rod was on set when the photograph was shot and directed how it should be taken. This piece measures 21" x 15". This piece comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Studio Auctions and an LOA from the artist Rod Dyer.
