A replica made by the late Greg Jein of the ‘S.S. Botany Bay’. The ‘Botany Bay’ was featured in Season 1, episode title, “Space Seed” from Star Trek: The Original Series.
This model was acquired from Greg Jein. It is finished in gray, with brown, black, and rust. It has two panel fins on each side of the ship, and the name of the ship can be lightly seen on its hull (due to its projected age and possible space debris damage done over the centuries). The name is in front of the cargo containers and under the submarine looking bridge section. Greg Jein was a multiple Academy Award nominated science fiction model-maker and artist whose work includes studio models, props, and other artwork, such as landscape miniatures, that have appeared throughout the Star Trek franchise.
